I am not always in the mood to censor myself to 13+ standards so this is an 18 and over board.

Heads-up—ProBoards does not allow people to omit their gender or choose a gender other than Male or Female. This host may not be good for our non-binary/genderqueer members.

Phin, I think we might have to just make do, as gods I don't even know what to call them, so we'll go with the Dynamic Duo and I tried a bunch of options over the summer and it's just really hard so I get your pain here, I really do, but...Idk, just select it and then don't show it?
(also I'm posting as a guest because i'm having difficulty registering)

Yeah, I ended up hiding it. That was less because of me, of course, and more for other people who don’t feel comfortable choosing either of the options. It sucks that there aren’t other forum hosts out there that fit the specific needs of the board, beyond self-hosting (I *do* have webspace/money to afford another domain), so should it come to that, I’d gladly offer.

Yes, but they do allow 18+ conversation and BDSM groups use their host, so if our genderqueer creator can handle it, I figure everyone else can. You can choose to go to Profile/Settings: Privacy- Gender Visibility to turn it on or off.

That makes a lot of sense, considering the amount of censorship other boards institute (ie, Zetaboards and Boardhost), regardless of the age limit you’ve set. I’ve just decided to disable gender appearing for now - at least it’s not *mandatory* to show it after you’ve signed up! I’m sorry if I came across as irritable/harsh about it; that really wasn’t my intent!

Nah dude, it's a very valid concern and I do wish I could easily remedy it.
